Ram Trucks Australia has endured 2020. The brand has finished up the year 15 per cent higher year on year, despite the pandemic and bushfire season. The bulk of the brand's sales performance in 2020 comes courtesy of the entry level 1500 Express model. Chinese car sales up nearly 50 per cent in shrinking Australian market

Sales of Chinese cars in Australia have rise by an average of 48.2 per cent in the first seven months of this year – as the overall market slowed by by 19.2 per cent. Four Chinese brands are currently offered to consumers in Australia – namely MG, LDV, Great Wall and Haval.

So, which car brands are growing in Australia?

As you can read in much more detail here, overall new vehicle sales fell nearly 8 per cent in Australia year to their lowest level since 2011. Just one of the top 10 car makers managed to grow its sales - that would be Kia - and some fell away by double digits. Moreover, almost every segment (passenger, SUV and commercial) went backwards.
