Battery Ram! Electric pick-up coming, says boss – report

A fully-electric version of the Ram 1500 pick-up is currently in development, it has been confirmed. Fiat-Chrysler (FCA) boss, Mike Manley, made the announcement during a conference call discussing third-quarter earnings, according to American newspaper Detroit Free Press. "I do see that there will be an electrified Ram pickup in the marketplace, and I would ask you just to stay tuned for a little while, and we’ll tell you exactly when that will be," Mr Manley said.

Fiat Chrysler planning to make electric cars with iPhone manufacturer

Foxconn, the contract electronics manufacturer most closely associated with the Apple iPhone, has confirmed in a filing with authorities it is planning to start a car-making joint venture with Fiat Chrysler (FCA). In the documents discovered by Bloomberg, the two companies are looking to setup a 50/50 joint venture to manufacture electric vehicles. Initially, EVs made by this new pairing will be targeted at the Chinese market, but exports may be considered further down the track.

Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot merger could be signed before Christmas - reports

The next step in the proposed US$50 billion ($73.5 billion) merger of Fiat Chrysler (FCA) and the PSA Group could be complete by the end of 2019. According to internal emails seen by Reuters and Automotive News, the PSA Group and FCA have formed multiple working groups to come up with a legally-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the merger.
