Time called for Ram 1500 TRX supercharged V8 in Australia with Final Edition
The end of the road for one of the world's most powerful pick-ups, the V8 Ram 1500 TRX, is almost here – with 130 Final Editions due in Australia imminently.
This is one of your last chances to purchase a factory-backed, right-hand-drive Ram 1500 TRX supercharged V8 pick-up in Australia.
Production of the Ram 1500 TRX wrapped up in the US at the end of 2023, and a final batch of 130 'Final Edition' variants have been announced for Australia, out of a global production run of 4000 vehicles.
There are a further 30 new examples of the regular Ram 1500 TRX remaining for sale – and once they are gone, there will be no more.
The six-cylinder turbocharged successor to the TRX – the RHO, unveiled in the US yesterday – is yet to be locked in for Australian showrooms, as is the wider facelifted 2025 Ram 1500 range.
The Final Edition is priced from $249,950 plus on-road costs, a $20,000 premium over the regular version.
It uses the same 6.2-litre supercharged V8 as the regular TRX, sending 523kW and 882Nm to all four wheels for a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.5 seconds.
The TRX Final Edition is available in three new and unique colours – Delmonico Red, Night Edge Blue and Harvest Sunrise (orange) – and adds bronze-coloured bead-lock capable wheels, and a '6.2-litre' bonnet badge, tray decal and interior TRX badge in the same colour.
Inside, there is 'Patina' stitching on the dashboard and seats, plus an embroidered TRX logo on the seat back, TRX Final Edition instrument cluster graphics, a centre console badge with the build number, suede door panel inserts, and carbon-fibre highlights elsewhere.
Features shared with the regular TRX include adaptive Bilstein dampers, launch control, a 12-inch touchscreen, 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and autonomous emergency braking.
