Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 supercar: V12 details revealed

Legendary supercar creator, Gordon Murray – the man behind the iconic McLaren F1 – has revealed the inner workings of what could end up being one of the last great V12 engines of all time. Details of the powerplant have finally been outlined, giving an insight into what could be one of the last non-turbo V12s to be created from scratch. Technical specifications show the all-aluminium 3.9-litre V12 produces 487kW of power and 467Nm of torque, with a redline of 12,100rpm.

Gordon Murray Design iStream Superlight chassis revealed

Gordon Murray Design (GMD) has unveiled the latest iteration of its iStream chassis, dubbed Superlight. The system promises to reduce "vehicle body weight by up to 50 per cent" compared to conventional construction methods, thanks to the combination of a high-strength aluminium frame and carbon-fibre composite panels.

Yamaha MOTIV.e city car revealed

The Yamaha MOTIV.e electric city car has been unveiled, showcasing the result of the collaboration between the Japanese motor company and Gordon Murray Design. The Yamaha MOTIV.e electric vehicle follows on from Gordon Murray's own T.25 and T.27 city cars, and claims to offer “ground-breaking manufacturing and materials technology” based on the McLaren F1 designer's iStream concept.

T.25 City Car by Gordon Murray – first official photos

Legendary McLaren F1 supercar designer, Gordon Murray will today unveil his T.25 City Car at the Smith School’s World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment. Seemingly light years away from the F1, at least in design language, the T.25 does happen to share the same three person seating architecture. While it might seat three, the T.25 is crazy small and at just 2.4m long, 1.3m wide and 1.6m tall; two of these things could travel side-by-side in one UK motorway lane.
