BMW X5, X6 and X7 tow rating upped to 3.5 tonnes

BMW has its sights set on grey nomads, with a factory-fit package boosting the towing capacity of its X5 and X7 to 3500kg. The option costs $2500 and must be installed at the factory, meaning owners will need to tick the right boxes to utilise their car's full braked-towing capacity. An Australian tongue, electrical connector and tow ball adds another $700 to the option price.

2019 BMW X7 to launch in Australia with two diesel models

The 2019 BMW X7 will launch in Australia with surprisingly sharp pricing, and two diesel models initially. 2019 BMW X7 interior spied virtually undisguised

The interior of the new BMW X7 has been spied again, this time giving us an almost unobstructed look at the dashboard. There's still protective coverings hiding the door trim and upper dashboard, as well as bits of tape over the badging and some trim pieces. The dashboard looks almost identical to the one used in the new X5. The only change we can spot is the metal trim around the central air vents and climate control pod, but that may just be down to specs.
