Peugeot could drop GTi badge - report

Peugeot could replace the famous GTi performance sub-brand in favour of a 'Peugeot Sport Engineered' badge, according to a new report from the UK. A new report from Auto Express claims the upcoming 208 hot-hatch, which could be a pure-electric car, will wear the name debuted on the 508 Peugeot Sport Engineered concept in Geneva. According to the report, the Peugeot executive team isn't keen to use its famous GTi badge on an electric vehicle.

The Abarth 695 70th Anniversario limited edition has been unveiled at Abarth Day in Milan. UPDATE, 7/10/19: FCA Australia has confirmed the 695 70th Anniversario will be touching down in local showrooms "in the first half of next year". See bottom of article for more details. Designed to celebrate the company's founding by Carlo Abarth back in 1949, just 1949 copies of the 695 70th Anniversario will be made.

Mitsubishi MI-Tech, Super Height K-Wagon concepts teased

Mitsubishi will display two concept cars at the 2019 Tokyo motor show, and it has just teased details about both. From the preview render, the MI-Tech seems to be a small, possibly kei class, topless SUV which can operate without doors. The MI-Tech is powered by plug-in hybrid powertrain featuring an electric motor for each wheel and a gas turbine engine acting as a generator to recharge the car's battery pack.
