Audi used the 2017 Frankfurt motor show as a launching platform for its level 3, 4 and 5 autonomous production and concept vehicles, with the company now indicating it will likely offer a range of autonomous vehicles that suit alternative use cases. When asked whether an autonomous vehicle can be sporty, Audi board member for technical development, Peter Mertens suggested autonomy comes in different shapes and sizes.

2018 Volvo XC40 revealed

The all-new 2018 Volvo XC40 has been revealed, ahead of an Australian debut confirmed for the second quarter of next year. It's a badge that has been in the offing for more than five years, and now it's official, with the 2018 XC40 unveiled at a standalone event in Milan tonight. BMW 530d joins Victorian highway patrol fleet

The 2017 BMW 530d will report for duty as a highway patrol car "by early-2018", as part of the Bavarian manufacturer's new vehicle supply partnership with Victoria Police.
