Jaguar files patent for mysterious hypercar design
Jaguar planning new halo model?
Jaguar may be secretly developing a new hypercar.
Images have emerged on the 7th Mustang internet forum, showing patent drawings for an unknown hypercar design, filed by Jaguar Land Rover.
The illustrations show more than a passing resemblance to the iconic Jaguar XJ220 and stillborn Jaguar C-X75, suggesting the British brand may be secretly developing a vehicle to compete with the Mercedes-AMG One and Aston Martin Valkyrie.
Curiously, the rear of the mysterious car appears to share a similar design language with the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo Coupe – a fictional model offered on the popular racing game, shown in late 2019 (shown above).
While no other details are known about the hypercar, Jaguar could be potentially using some of the architecture initially designed for the Jaguar C-X75 project, cancelled in 2012 due to lagging economic conditions at the time.
