2021 Isuzu D-Max recalled with roof rack fault
The fault could cause roof racks to become loose or detached while loaded, according to the manufacturer.
Isuzu Australia has recalled 98 examples of its 2021 Isuzu D-Max ute, citing a roof rack fault.
The affected vehicles are stamped Model Year 2021.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: "The internal bracing upper mounts for the Genuine Isuzu Canopy Roof Rack may not meet the manufacturing specifications, should the mount become loose or detached it could result in damage to the canopy shell if remained undetected.
"If the roof rack becomes loose or detached while loaded this could result in the load being lost. Additionally, in the event of an accident the roof rack may detach increasing the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users."
