The substantially updated Pagani Huayra BC has been revealed and will be unleashed at the Geneva motor show, which kicks off at the end of February.

While still recognisably a Huayra, Pagani has changed every body panel but the roof, increasing downforce, reduce lift, and improve air flow to internal components. The most obvious changes are the large carbon-fibre wing out the back, the new rear diffuser, and the redesigned front splitter.

For the BC, Pagani has increased power output and aggressively pared back the car’s weight to just 1218 kilograms.

The Mercedes-AMG supplied 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine has been retuned and now generates at least 552kW of power at 6200rpm — reports with some outlets put the final figure for power at around 588kW. Torque output is now rated at 1000Nm at 4000rpm.

The updated engine is paired to a new seven-speed automated manual transmission by Xtrac, which is claimed to be 40 per cent lighter than the dual-clutch transmission that it replaces.

Drive is sent to the rear wheels via a new electronic active differential. Performance figures have yet to be confirmed for the Huayara BC.

Stopping power comes courtesy of a Brembo braking package with 380mm discs and six-piston callipers at the front, and 380mm discs with four-pot units at the rear.

The Huayra BC rides on 20-inch forged alloys up front and 21-inch rims at the rear, which are wrapped in 225/30 (front) and 355/25 (rear) P Zero tyres that were especially designed for the Huayra BC by Pirelli.

Track-going versions of the BC are fitted with smaller 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch units out the back.

The suspension setup is said to be 25 per cent lighter than before as it is crafted from HiForg, an aluminium alloy originally designed for aeronautical purposes.

Pagani have yet to announce on-sale timing and pricing have yet to be announced for the Huayra BC.
