Toyota HiLux DPF: What has been done to fix it

Toyota Australia has fixed thousands of faulty or clogged diesel particulate filters across HiLux, Prado and Fortuner models made since 2015 – and now it claims the newly updated versions of those cars have a system redesigned in such a way as to avoid past problems. While the company is at the centre of a legal dispute over vehicles sold between 2015 and 2019, Toyota insists it has fixed the problem and continues to urge customers to come forward if they are not happy.

2019 Toyota Prado, HiAce recalled

Toyota Australia has issued a recall for 2714 vehicles across the 2019 model-year LandCruiser Prado, HiAce and HiAce Commuter model lines, over concerns of a fuel leak. Outside, a refreshed exterior is highlighted by a revised – and decently chrome-heavy – grille, restyled headlights, re-profiled fenders, and a potentially polarising new bonnet, which Toyota says has been sculpted “to enhance downward visibility”.
