2019 Toyota Prado, HiAce recalled

Toyota Australia has issued a recall for 2714 vehicles across the 2019 model-year LandCruiser Prado, HiAce and HiAce Commuter model lines, over concerns of a fuel leak. The Japanese manufacturer reports a production fault may cause the fuel inlet pipe that connects the diesel fuel injector common rail may not be secured with a "lower than specified tightening torque", which "may allow fuel leakage".

Toyota HiLux, Landcruiser Prado gain diesel particulate filter regeneration switch - UPDATE

UPDATE: The Toyota Fortuner will also get the DPF regeneration switch as part of the August tech change. Toyota will shortly announce the addition of a diesel particular filter (DPF) regeneration switch for the Landcruiser Prado and HiLux, as part of a rolling technical change on both models.

The Toyota LandCruiser Utility Commercial has been revealed for the UK market, blending the off-road ability of the Prado with the load-lugging practicality of a commercial van. Offered in both three-door and five-door bodies (pictured), the LandCruiser Utility Commercial is a two-seater with a rubber-lined cargo area combined with a bulkhead and mesh hatch to offer a "robust solution to your transportation needs".

Ford Everest Titanium pricing defended, flagship making up 25 per cent of sales

Ford Australia president and CEO Graeme Whickman has defended the company’s controversial $76,990 (plus on-roads) asking price for the flagship Ford Everest Titanium. The Australian-developed Everest — an SUV based on the same T6 architecture as the Ranger ute — has been generally well received since it launched a few months ago.
