Land Rover sells one millionth Range Rover Sport

Jaguar Land Rover has sold its one millionth Range Rover Sport,16 years after the popular model was launched. The low-slung SUV sits below the standard Range Rover in the line-up, and above the Range Rover Velar and entry-level Range Rover Evoque. The Range Rover Sport made its debut in 2005, and was based on the Range Stormer concept released a year prior (below). The second-generation variant – currently in production – came onto the market in 2013, and underwent a facelift in 2018.

Land Rover recalls several MY16-18 models for emissions fix

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has issued a recall for various 2016-18 Land Rover and Range Rover models fitted with 2.0-litre petrol engines, as they may not meet required emissions standards. Following the global announcement back in March which saw the company confirm 44,000 vehicles across its three brands for variance in actual emissions, Land Rover has kicked off its Australia recall campaign which affects 953 units locally.

2018 Land Rover, Range Rover line-up recalled for fire risk

Land Rover and Range Rover have issued a recall for their entire 2018 model-year range, over concerns vehicles fitted with the 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine could pose a fire risk. The British marques report the engine-mounted fuel rails on affected vehicles "have not been manufactured correctly", and are at risk of fuel vapour and liquid leaks.

2018 Range Rover Sport pricing announced

Local pricing information for the 2018 Range Rover Sport has been revealed this week, ahead of an Australian launch in April 2018. There will be six different trim levels on offer in the revised Sport lineup, running from entry-level S to range-topping SVR. The 'base' Sport S starts at $95,100 (+$4,200) with the 177kW SD4 turbo-diesel, and jumps to $97,100 for the 221kW Si4 petrol.
