2021 Mercedes-Benz EQS: Next-gen MBUX Hyperscreen infotainment revealed

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its next-generation, ultra-high-tech take on the modern car interior: the MBUX Hyperscreen. Available as an option on the upcoming 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQS electric sedan, the MBUX Hyperscreen sees the car's interior screens combined into one curved panel stretching the entire, 1410-millimetre width between the left and right A-pillars.

Mercedes-Benz’s upcoming EQB electric SUV has been spied undergoing cold-weather testing in Sweden. The example spotted playing in the snow sports similar amounts of camouflage to EQB prototypes previously snapped by our spy photographers, with moderate disguise only over the front and rear fascias. Up front the combustion-powered GLB SUV’s conventional grille has been closed off for better aerodynamics, flanked by slim LED headlights and a restyled lower fascia.

Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS concept revealed

Mercedes-Benz has used the biennial Frankfurt motor show to premiere the electrified Vision EQS concept car, an obvious riposte to the Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S. The company says this highly symbolic concept not only previews some of the design, drivetrain and manufacturing decisions that shape its next generation of products, but at a philosophical level offers “an outlook on future large electric luxury saloons by the brand”.

Chery files trademark claim against Mercedes-Benz EQ

Chinese automaker Chery has filed a trademark claim against Mercedes-Benz, aimed at stopping the German marque from launching the EQ electric vehicle sub-brand in the world's largest automotive market. Last week, a spokewoman for Chery told to Reuters that the company had lodged a formal complaint with the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
