Genesis G70 may gain a high-performance variant

The Genesis G70 is no slouch, especially with its 272kW/510Nm 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6, but a more hardcore version could be on its way. "A big effort with the [Genesis] G70 was thermal management, to make sure that this car will hold up," Mike O'Brien, the head of product planning for Hyundai USA, told Road & Track during a discussion about the Veloster N and how it was designed to withstand long track sessions.

Hyundai N: Two more models likely, but no G70 N - report

Hyundai's N division is plotting two more models after the i30 Fastback N (above) – set to debut at the Paris motor show – but a more focused version of the Genesis G70 luxury sedan won't be among them. Speaking with industry journal Automotive News, Hyundai's head of vehicle testing and high-performance development, Albert Biermann, said a fourth N model is definitely in the plan, with an additional "surprise" potentially in the pipeline.

Hyundai N Sport packs for i30, Kona, Veloster and Tucson coming

Hyundai will follow Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz’s lead in creating sport model packs that can be optioned on standard variants to give a more focused appearance and feel. The Hyundai N Sport packages, as they will be most likely known, will offer an AMG-Line, S-line or M Sport-style enhancements that will see equipped vehicles upgraded with sportier suspension, retuned steering and visual enhancements.

Hyundai N Performance cars 'must be track going', two variants to launch with i30

Hyundai's new performance engineering boss says N Performance cars must be track going, with the brand confirming two levels of Hyundai i30N performance vehicles for buyers. Speaking exclusively with members of the Australian media, Hyundai head of vehicle test and high performance development, Albert Biermann said that the brand would release two versions of the i30N and that both would have a track requirement.
