Toyota updates Prius C and V
Hybrid city car and people mover get makeovers.
Toyota has given two members of its Prius family a nip and tuck.
The Prius C city car and Prius V people mover have been given a mid-life makeover to freshen up their looks inside and out.
The updated Prius C was revealed at the 2014 Los Angeles motor show this week and features a re-styled front bumper, new LED headlights, LED taillights and a shark-fin roof antenna.
Inside it gets "premium" materials in the cabin to lift the interior design.
The bigger Prius V also gets a new bumper, LED headlights and taillights.
Mechanically both cars remain unchanged with the C using a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor which returns fuel economy of just 3.9-litres per 100km. The V uses a larger 1.8-litre engine paired electric motor and sips 4.4L/100km.
The revised Prius C is due in Australia in early 2015 with the Prius V schedule to arrive by mid-year.
