Mazda has previewed a pair of ‘concepts’ based on its MX-5 roadster ahead of their official unveiling at the 2017 Tokyo Auto Salon.
The first is the Custom Style, based on the MX-5 RF but with visual and performance-oriented modifications.
Over the standard RF, the Custom scores a new front spoiler, blackened side skirts and sports exhaust tips.
Performance mods include adjustable suspension and a strut tower brace.
Mazda has looked to the original NA MX-5 that kicked off the fan-favourite model in 1989 with its distinctive red paint for the second concept, called the Classic Red.
