Haval cuts price of H2 SUV

Chinese brand sharpens pricing for compact SUV.

Haval, the newest Chinese car brand to land in Australia, has cut the price of its H2 mid-size SUV.

The entry-level Haval H2 Premium - which went on sale in the second half of last year - was priced at $26,490, but now is available for a driveaway price of $24,990, a saving of more than $3000.

The new price now undercuts many of its more polished rivals.

The Haval is well equipped with standard equipment including 18-inch alloys, sunroof, seven-inch touchscreen, reversing camera, parking sensors, automatic wipers and headlights, keyless entry and bluetooth connectivity.

The H2 is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which produces 110kW and 210Nm and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
