The 2017 Ford Kuga has been unveiled at the LA Auto Show, in the form of the new Ford Escape for the US market.
As part of an ‘overall’ update to the midsized SUV, the Escape gets two new EcoBoost engines, new interior features and a refreshed look on the outside.
A 1.5 litre engine producing 135kW and 250Nm replaces a 1.6 litre unit for US customers, while a new 2.0 litre twin-scroll turbo engine is good for 183kW and 374Nm.
The 2017 Escape will also see the current 2.5 litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine continue for some variants.
Compared to the (very) recently updated Kuga announced for Australian customers, this 2017 model boasts a new grille, revised headlights and an updated front bumper.
