Borgward is back - and after more than 50 years out of the car-making saddle, the German brand has produced a new SUV as its comeback model.
Due to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show - and teased in late July - the SUV will be available as a seven-seater, potentially with two powerplants.
The first is a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 165kW, matched with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an electronically-controlled all-wheel-drive system.
A plug-in hybrid version will also be on show in Frankfurt; featuring the same 2.0 litre petrol engine driving the front wheels while an electric motor provides power for the rear wheels.
