BMW's replacement for the current 3 Series Convertible has been spied testing in Europe, just weeks after its hardtop Coupe sibling was spotted in the same swirly camouflage.
The test car shown here features a folding hardtop, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, along with the same long rear deck.
The images bring Bimmer fans no closer to a resolution on the big question: will these new cars wear a 3 badge, or will BMW introduce a new 4 Series range?
The new Coupe and Convertible models are expected to share their platform and powertrains with the new 3 Series sedan, so expect a run of turbocharged four-cylinder options, along with a top-shelf six-cylinder model.
An M4-badged version could also replace the current M3 Coupe, driven by a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that would replace the current 309kW V8 engine.
