MINI's Australian arm has secured additional units of its $56,900 John Cooper Works GP hot hatch, boosting the local supply to 55 cars.
You'll want to get on the phone now if you intend to snap one up however, with MINI confirming that the "vast majority" have already been pre-sold.
Revealed in September and limited to 2000 cars worldwide, the first Australian deliveries of the hottest JCW are due early next year.
The new JCW GP is powered by a 160kW/260Nm version of MINI's 1.6 litre turbo engine, edging out its 156kW predecessor and the regular 135kW/240Nm JCW model.
Combined with a six-speed manual shifter and an overboost function that delivers another 20Nm of torque, MINI promises a 0-100km/h time of 6.3 seconds.
Handling tweaks for the new JCW GP include an adjustable sports suspension package, unique light alloy wheels (a hat-tip to the previous model), and upgraded brakes and tyres.
