2023 Cupra prices announced ahead of showroom arrivals mid year
The starting prices for the new Cupra launch editions have been announced ahead of July arrivals.
The Volkswagen-owned Cupra brand has announced Australian pricing for its three 'launch edition' models.
The range will initially start from $67,990 drive-away for the Leon hot hatch, and $69,990 drive-away for both the Formentor and Ateca SUVs.
“Australian production has already begun and … has had minimal effects on specification and volume,” said Jeff Shafer, the product planner for Cupra Australia.
Cupra will initially have 10 showrooms nationally, after appointing Alto in NSW, Zagame in Victoria, Eagers in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Perth, Solitaire in Adelaide, and Lennock in Canberra.
For now, there is no representation in Tasmania and Northern Territory.
All models will be covered by a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, and come with three years servicing included in the price.
About 100 vehicles will be sold via a pre-launch sales event in May ahead of order books opening for the whole range from June.
While the brand will launch with dearer variants, more affordable models are due later this year and from next year.
The entry-level Leon will start from $59,990 before on-road costs, while the Formentor will start from $60,990. The Cupra Ateca will start at $65,990 drive-away.
A fully-electric Cupra Born hatchback will also launch next year, however pricing is yet to be locked in.
