2016 Tata New Cars
News of new and revised Tata models is thin on the ground for Australia, although buyers can likely expect updates and pricing tweaks to the brand’s long-serving Xenon ute.
The company’s local distributor has also indicated that Tata’s new Zest and Bolt “global city cars” are potential starters for Australia, along with an eventual production version of 2014’s Nexon compact SUV concept.
“Everything’s on the table,” said Darren Bowler, former managing director of Tata’s Australian distributor, Fusion Automotive. “We’ll be looking at all products: commercial, SUV and passenger cars.”
Tata has also revealed its new Zica city car in recent weeks, but this too is still to be confirmed for availability anywhere outside of India.
For now, however, Tata’s 2016 plan for Australia is still to be confirmed.
