Brabus D4: Powered-up X-Class coming to Oz – UPDATE

UPDATE (4/6/18): The Brabus D4 Power Xtra package will be available to Australian customers via RamSpeed Australia. See bottom of article for details. Brabus is known for creating wild versions of Mercedes-Benz's fastest sedans, SUVs and sports cars, but now it has revealed its take on the new X-Class ute. Dubbed the D4 PowerXtra, the Brabus X-Class is based on the X250d, and features styling and mechanical tweaks for a small power boost and a unique look amongst the dual-cab ute crop.

Singer Vehicle Design and Williams Advanced Engineering have unveiled the stunning result of their Dynamics and Lightweighting Study, in the form of a green 964-generation Porsche 911. By now, you're probably aware of what Singer does. Run by a bunch of Porsche enthusiasts in California, the company takes classic Porsches and 'reimagines' them with more power, revised chassis tunes and stunning, detail-oriented finishes to make motoring enthusiasts weak at the knees.

Lexus prepares its fleet for SEMA

Lexus has unveiled its hotted-up cars ahead of the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Along with a trio of LC500 coupes, the Japanese manufacturer will show a worked-over take on its luxury flagship, the LS F Sport. The first car is actually going to be sold in the USA, in a departure from the usual pie-in-the-sky madness on show at SEMA. Dubbed the LC500 Inspiration Series in Structural Blue (below), it has been designed to reference the Black Panther character King T'Challa.

Sydney Motorsport Park Drift Festival coming in January

Sydney Motorsport Park will be filled with smoke and the sound of screeching tyres when the track's redeveloped South Circuit hosts its inaugural drift meeting in January 2013. With 150 entries, including some of the country's best master sliders, as well as special guests, trade stands and music, the Sydney Motorsport Park Drift Festival will light up the circuit, formerly known as Eastern Creek Raceway, on January 26, 2013 for almost 12 hours.
