UPDATE – Bugatti seemingly confirms W16 engine for newest hypercar

UPDATE 28/10/20: The newest teaser images from Bugatti suggest the upcoming model will be powered by the brand's W16 internal combustion engine, leaving us to once again ponder what the cryptic "0,67" might mean. In the Veyron this engine develops 736kW, while the updated Chiron variant produces 1103kW. It is possible the new model – slated for launch later today – will be offered with multiple powertrains options, however the limited production run makes this unlikely.

Hyundai N: EV sports car coming thanks to Rimac partnership

Hyundai Motor Group has partnered with Rimac Automobili to develop an electric version of its upcoming N Performance mid-engined sports car, along with a high-performance fuel-cell car. Hyundai and Kia (the Hyundai Motor Group) will invest €80 million ($129.45 million) in Rimac Automobili, as part of a technical partnership that'll see the two high-performance, low-emissions sports cars lob in 2020.

Porsche buys Rimac stake

Porsche AG has purchased a 10 per cent stake in Croatian electric startup Rimac Automobili, creators of the Concept One and C_Two EV hypercars. The German sports car specialist made the announcement overnight, and says it plans to enter a "close collaboration" with the up and coming EV brand.
