Two Holden concept cars find new home, classic collection split among local museums

Two classic Holden concept vehicles have found a new home in Melbourne – as US car giant General Motors prepares to split Holden's collection of priceless concept and production cars across a range of local museums. CarAdvice understands the Holden collection will be shared across numerous museums for safe-keeping, and in many cases to enable the public to view the vehicles. Two of Holden's most unusual concept cars are understood to be the first to be split from the collection.

Volkswagen has confirmed its first electric SUV will be called ID.4, and will be launched this year as a global model produced and sold in Europe, the US and China. The confirmed nameplate replaces the concept version's clunky ID. Crozz badge. It will be the second member of Volkswagen's ID range after the Golf-sized ID.3 hatch, and is underpinned by the same ground-up 'MEB' electrical architecture that has also been licensed to Ford.

Bentley Mulliner Bacalar: just 12 to be built, priced from $3 million

British brand Bentley has returned to its coach-building roots by creating a limited edition two-seat open-top car that will cost in excess of $3 million – £1.5 million plus taxes. Just 12 examples of the Bentley Mulliner Bacalar will be built and each one is already spoken for despite the epic price tag, which is approximately seven times the £200,000 cost (including taxes) of the UK of the Bentley Continental GT on which it is based.
