General Motors offers ‘in-flight movies’ for cars with WarnerMedia RIDE streaming service

Cross country road trips in the US have been upgraded to Business Class with the announcement of a collaboration between General Motors, WarnerMedia and telecommunications provider AT&T. The service, called WarnerMedia Ride, allows owners of GM-brand vehicles (Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac) to stream on-demand entertainment via the car’s WiFi hotspot and an unlimited-data AT&T 4G plan.

F1’s Lando Norris to fill Supercars Eseries wildcard slot tonight

Formula One star Lando Norris will join round five of the Supercars All Stars Eseries tonight as a wildcard entrant, becoming the second Formula One driver to do so after Max Verstappen filled the slot for round two in April. The 20-year-old McLaren F1 team driver will compete across three races at the computer-generated version of real-life F1 circuit, Belgium’s Circuit de Spar-Francorchamps – more commonly referred to as ‘Spa’.

Formula One’s Max Verstappen to compete in Australian Supercars Eseries

Formula One driver Max Verstappen will join in for round two of the Supercars’ All Stars Eseries this Wednesday. Races will take place at England’s Silverstone and Spain’s Circuit de Catalunya circuits rendered in iRacing, a simulator that has laid the foundation for the Supercars Eseries due to its realism and attention to detail, with racers competing online from their homes.

Top Gear host Chris Evans quits

As the 23rd season of TV series Top Gear comes to a close, host Chris Evans has announced he will not be returning for another. Revealing his resignation on Twitter overnight, Evans posted: "stepping down from Top Gear. Gave it my best shot but sometimes that's not enough". He wished the show well, describing the production team's efforts as "beyond brilliant". Later, in a statement, Evans heaped praise on the show's team.
