Tata Tamo Racemo sports car unveiled

The Tata Tamo Racemo is small two-seat mid-engine sports car, and made its debut at the 2017 Geneva motor show. Developed by Tata Motors' Tamo division, an "incubating centre of innovation", the Racemo is built upon the new MOFlex Multi-Material Sandwich structure, which Tata says not only enables "greater freedom in surface design" but also has a large degree of "modularity and faster time to market".

Kia has no plans to take on Hyundai N and Genesis sub-brands, chief designer says

Speaking to Australian media at the 2017 Geneva motor show, Kia chief designer Gregory Guillaume said Hyundai’s N Performance and Genesis sub-brands might make sense for Hyundai, but neither is a path Kia has plans to follow. “When we work on and develop our cars, we don’t really think about Hyundai, to be honest,” Guillaume said.

2018 Alpine A110 detailed: video

Revealed last week, the hotly-anticipated 2018 Alpine A110 has now been detailed ahead of its European launch later this year. Weighing just 1080kg, the A110 is a featherweight by today's standards, while its performance specifications should worry some established sports cars. Under the bonnet is a new 1.8-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, developing 185kW of power and 320Nm of torque, sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

2018 Nissan Qashqai facelift revealed, Australian debut due next year

The facelifted Nissan Qashqai has been unveiled at the 2017 Geneva motor show. Externally, it's easy to tell the updated Qashqai from the one currently available in showrooms. Up front, there's a dramatically reworked front fascia with the latest version of the company's V-motion grille. There's also a new bonnet and new headlight units, which can be specified with adaptive LED lamps.

2017 Subaru XV crossover revealed

The new-generation Subaru XV small crossover has been revealed in Geneva ahead of its Australian launch around the middle of 2017. Subaru's new XV is obviously based on the latest Impreza hatch, and thus sports almost entirely new parts over its predecessor, including the company's new modular platform. However, the signature design remains. It's essentially a jacked-up version of the hatch with pumped guards. If it ain't broke...
