Porsche doesn't put its name on things that aren't to the 'Porsche' standard, but this steering wheel is officially licenced which means quality and precision are the number one priority. It is said to feel exactly like a real 911 GT2 steering wheel as well, and it's no wonder because it is actually covered in the same Alcantara leather as the proper road car steering wheel.
The Fanatec Porsche GT2 is licenced to the Xbox although it comes with a USB cable for use on both PC and Playstation 3, so there's no discrimination between fans. This means everyone can enjoy the 900 degrees worth of steering angle as well as its 14 different buttons.
If you, or that special someone, is a real keen car fanatic, there's an optional full-scale Club Sport package that sees the addition of a manual gear lever, real carbon fibre shift paddles behind the wheel and adjustable aluminium pedals. So now you, or that someone, can drive a Porsche at a fraction of the cost.
Speaking of cost, the Fanatec Porsche GT2 in standard form costs just US$250 (around AU$251.50 after straight conversion without taxes etc.), while the Club Sport pack is an additional US$250. Not bad for something with a proper Porsche badge on it.
