22 April 2021: Australian pricing and specifications for the 2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Sport have been announced, with the medium SUV now available in local showrooms from $69,450 plus on-road costs.

The new sport-themed variant ushers in the mid-life update for Alfa Romeo's maiden SUV, ahead of the arrival of the wider range in the third quarter of 2021, set to include the sporty Veloce (formerly Ti) and high-performance range-topping Quadrifoglio.

Drive comes from a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, sending 147kW and 330Nm to all four wheels via an eight-speed torque-converter automatic. A diesel engine is no longer available.

The 0-100km/h benchmark sprint can be completed in a claimed 7.2 seconds.

Externally, the SUV features 19-inch alloys, red brake calipers, 'Sport' badging, and privacy glass as standard – none of which were included on the outgoing entry-level Stelvio.

Moving inside the cabin, infotainment comes via a centre-mounted 8.8-inch touchscreen, now running a new operating system including interactive widgets, full-screen satellite navigation, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Leather trim – wrapping both the seats and steering wheel – comes standard, as does a wireless phone charging system, and aluminium pedals.

That is all in addition to bi-xenon headlights, dual-zone climate control, an eight-speaker sound system, front seat heating, keyless entry, power-folding mirrors, and more.

An optional ‘Lusso’ package – priced at $3455 – adds a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, hands-free electric tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, metallic paint, and adaptive dampers.

If a buyer wants metallic paint by itself, this costs $1645. White and red are the only no-cost options. A panoramic sunroof can be had for $2545, while a space-saver spare wheel costs $595.

In the safety department, traffic-sign recognition, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian recognition all come fitted at no extra cost.

The 2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Sport is now on sale in Australia.
