The 2021 Citroen C3 has been updated for the new year, offering a number of new features together with a refreshed design.

Nearly a year after Citroen unveiled the updated look, the facelifted C3 has arrived in Australia, with a revised front grille and bumper, together with LED headlights and daytime-running lights.

The model's distinctive 'Airbumps' – the dark plastic cladding fitted to the lower door panels – have been redesigned with a new pattern, echoed throughout the exterior.

New 16-inch 'Helix' alloy wheels are now available, as are two additional paint colours: Spring Blue/black roof and Artic Steel/white roof, as well as a new roof colour called Emerald to go with a Polar white. These are in addition to Polar white/red roof, Elixr red/black roof, and Perla Nera black/red roof.

Inside, Citroen has added the option of an 'Emerald' trim, while the C3's comfort seating has been given additional padding.

Front parking sensors have been added to the car's tech, which includes reverse parking sensors with camera, hands-free entry, semi-autonomous braking, driver fatigue alert, hill-start assist, blind-spot monitoring, speed limit sign recognition, and cruise control with speed limiter.

Performance remains unchanged, with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol three-cylinder sending 81kW/205Nm to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic.

The C3 comes with Citroen's five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, five-year roadside assistance, and five-year service price promise.

The 2021 Citroen C3 is on sale now.
