The 2021 Hyundai i20 N will be available to pre order via Instagram in a six-hour window tomorrow night – almost half a year before the hot hatch is due in local showrooms and months before price is due to be released.
Potential buyers can place a fully refundable $500 deposit to be one of the first to secure a vehicle when it arrives in Australia by the middle of next year.
While price is yet to be announced, CarAdvice understands Hyundai Australia is targeting the Ford Fiesta ST, which is listed at $32,290 plus on-road costs.
However, if buyers change their mind or can’t afford the car once full details have been released, Hyundai says it will refund the deposit back in full.
Hyundai says the pre-order promotion via Instagram is a first for a car company in Australia.
Orders will be open on Hyundai’s Instagram page between 6pm and midnight Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) on Thursday 3 December 2020. If you’re in Queensland that will translate to 5pm and 11pm.
Below is a link to Hyundai’s Instagram page (@hyundaiaus), however the post for pre-orders is yet to go live:
