Audi Australia has announced price and specification details for the two new 40 TFSI quattro additions to its Q3 small SUV lineup.

Joining the base model Q3 35 TFSI S tronic – which is priced from $46,400 plus on-road costs – the new Q3 40 TFSI quattro comes in at $53,900 plus on-road costs, while the Q3 40 TFSI quattro S line starts at $59,400 plus on-road costs.

Moving up from the Q3 35 TFSI S tronic’s 110kW/250Nm 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the new Audi Q3 40 TFSI variants provide 132kW of power and 320Nm of torque thanks to their 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engines.

Both models are mated to seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels, compared to the front-wheel drive and six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission configuration found in the Q3 35 TFSI S tronic.

Inside, both of the Q3 40 TFSI quattro models get Audi’s MMI infotainment with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, DAB+ radio and Audi connect plus on a 10.1-inch touchscreen. On top of this, the S line model adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-speaker sound system.

The Q3 40 TFSI quattro models also receive keyless entry and start, electric automatic tailgate, two-zone climate control and leather electric seats. A multi-function leather steering wheel with paddle shift and Audi drive select, and an auto dimming interior mirror also feature as standard.

On top of these, the Q3 40 TFSI quattro S line gets an electric passenger seat, interior pieces trimmed in aluminium and alcantara, and an S line interior package that includes illuminated door sill trims, heated leather seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, stainless steel pedals and floor mats with contrast stitching.

The Audi Q3 40 TFSI quattro gets a range of standard safety such as autonomous emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane departure and lane change warning, rear cross-traffic assist, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitors and a rear view camera with parking sensors.

The Q3 40 TFSI S line picks up all this equipment but adds a 360-degree camera, high beam and park assist, auto-dimming exterior mirror and adaptive cruise control.

The Q3 40 TFSI quattro rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, with the S line variant moving up to 20-inch units. Both models get full body paint finishes and folding exterior mirrors with passenger side auto dipping as standard.

Further to these, the Q3 40 TFSI quattro S line also gets rear window privacy glass and an S line exterior styling pack.

The new 2020 Audi Q3 range is available now and is included in Audi’s online sales system.
