LDV has given its seven-seat D90 SUV a price cut, dropping the entry-level model's price by $1000 and the range-topper's sticker by $3000.
Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, the D90 outputs 165kW and 350Nm. It's mated with a six-speed automatic transmission, and sends power to the rear wheels in the base model, but four-wheel drive is an option on the range-topping D90 Executive.
Pricing starts at $35,990 drive-away for the entry-level 'D90', which gets 18-inch alloy wheels, a steering column that's only height-adjustable, and manually-adjustable front seats.
An 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard, along with a six-speaker audio system. Autonomous emergency braking is standard across the range, giving the D90 a leg-up on cars like the Holden Trailblazer and Isuzu MU-X, which don't offer it at all. It also has a five-star ANCAP rating.
Niceties like rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry and start, blind spot monitoring, parking sensors, tyre-pressure monitoring, and reversing camera are all standard, too.
Moving up to the two-wheel drive D90 Executive bumps the price to $39,990 drive-away. Standard equipment includes eight-way power adjustment for the driver's seat, a reach/height adjustable steering column, leather trim for the steering wheel, puddle lighting, and a sunroof.
Where the base model has front seats trimmed in pleather, the first two rows in the Executive are proper leather.
It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, and gets a powered tailgate to boot.
Finally, the range-topping Executive AWD is priced from $43,990 drive-away. Its equipment remains the same as the two-wheel drive model, barring the extra driven wheels.
Metallic paint is a $500 option across the range. The D90 range is backed by a five-year, 130,000km warranty.
