Alfa Romeo has partially revealed and detailed the refreshed 2019 Giulietta hatchback, ahead of its debut at next week's Geneva motor show.
Two versions of the Italian hatchback will be on display at the Swiss event, Veloce and Executive, both featuring revised designs and some new specification.
Headlining the Giulietta range at Alfa Romeo's stand will be the updated Veloce (pictured above), which gets new 'sports' bumpers, yellow-painted Brembo brake calipers, gloss black mirrors, handles, grille, fog-lights and dual tailpipes, along with new gloss black 18-inch alloys and rear privacy glass.
Inside, the updated Veloce also scores Alcantara/fabric seat trim with contrasting yellow stitching, Alfa Romeo logos in the head rests, aluminium pedals and kick plate, matte-anthracite mouldings, a sports steering wheel with yellow top-stitching, the latter also extending to the gear lever and handbrake.
There's also something new under the bonnet: the Giulia Veloce on display in Geneva is powered by a new 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine making 170hp (127kW) mated to a six-speed twin-clutch automatic with steering-mounted paddle shifters.
Rounding out the Veloce's specification in Geneva is the Tech Pack, which includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen 'by Alpine' with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear-view camera, USB and HDMI inputs, along with Mopar Connect apps.
Finally, a new 'Executive' version (above) will be on display as well, finished in an eye-catching Visconti Green exterior paint and Chocolate brown leather upholstery.
Alfa Romeo hasn't given further details about the second Giulietta variant, though we do know it won't be sold in the UK.
Note: Only two external images were attached to the UK press release, we'll add more when they become available
Speaking with CarAdvice Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' local division was unable to confirm if or when we'll see the MY19 Giulietta in Australian showrooms, though it's "always evaluating new product for the local market".
Stay tuned for all the latest updates out of the Geneva motor show.
