Renault Koleos S-Edition arrives from $44,990
New limited edition features blue-themed extras and is equipped exclusively with front-wheel drive.
Renault Australia has launched the Koleos S-Edition in Australia, adding extra equipment and a unique specification for $44,990 drive-away.
Based on the Intens (from $44,990 plus on-roads), the S-Edition uniquely gets a front-wheel drivetrain and boasts extra kit like 19-inch alloys, and metallic black mirror caps.
Inside, there's blue contrasting top-stitching for the leather upholstery, which also features blue accents in the perforations. Rounding out the S-Edition extras are 'S-Edition' badging and sill plates – just in case you forgot you bought the limited-edition.
Other standard equipment carried over from the Intens grade include LED headlights with auto high-beam, heated and ventilated front seats, keyless start, a 7.0-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, parking sensors all round, and an automated parking assistant.
Power comes from the same 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine as the wider range, making 126kW of power and 226Nm of torque, sent to the front wheels through a CVT automatic.
Just four colours will be available with the S-Edition: Meissen Blue (pictured), Metallic Grey, Solid White, and Universal White. All hues bar Solid White are premium paints that command a $880 premium.
"Since the new Koleos went on sale in the second half of 2016, we experienced customer and dealer demand for a highly specified 4x2 variant to join our already compelling line-up," said Andrew Moore, managing director for Renault Australia.
As with the wider Renault range (except Renault Sport models), the Koleos S-Edition is covered by the company's five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty and capped-price servicing program.
