We wrote about a self-driving Mustang preparing for the first autonomous run up the hill at Goodwood yesterday. We all had a good laugh about the possibility of it crashing on the big stage, with the world's motoring enthusiasts watching online. Remember that? It was a fun time...
Turns out all that laughing and joking was kind of accurate. We're not going to spoil the ending, but suffice to say the Siemens team behind the 1965 Mustang project aren't likely to enjoy watching the footage below.
When it's not being steered back on course by the on-board safety driver, the Mustang pinballs around the road like a drunk driver is behind the wheel. Autonomous technology clearly has a ways to go...
