Lexus RX Crafted special edition revealed
Limited-run SUV priced from $81,351 before on-roads
Lexus Australia has announced details of the RX Crafted, a new special-edition version of its popular SUV priced from $81,351 before on-road costs.
Despite being based on the entry-level Luxury grade, the RX Crafted features numerous specification upgrades bringing it more in line with higher models.
Equipment highlights include a colour head-up display, a 12.3-inch infotainment system (up front the standard 8.0-inch unit), a 15-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, 20-inch alloy wheels in black, along with black accents for the front grille, fog-lights, mirrors caps and rear bumper.
That's on top of already-standard kit like leather-accented trim, heated and ventilated front seats, automatic bi-LED headlights with LED cornering lights, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry with push-button start and wireless phone charging.
Lexus Safety System+ is also included, which brings autonomous-emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
Pricing is "approximately" half way between the Luxury and F Sport trim levels, with the Crafted commanding a $7100 premium over the base model, regardless of engine variant chosen.
Speaking of engine variants, the RX Crafted is available in RX300 (formerly 200t), RX350 ($88,521) and RX450h ($97,260) guises. Only the five-seat model is offered with the Crafted package.
The only option for the special-edition SUV is premium paint, which asks for an additional $1500.
