Update (10/5): Mustang Motorsport, the official importer of Roush products in Australia, has confirmed the local availability of the JackHammer package.

Roush Performance has revealed the 'Jackhammer' Mustang this week, complete with a 710hp (529kW) supercharger kit.

Based on the V8-engined Mustang GT Fastback, the Roush Jackhammer gets an array of mechanical and cosmetic upgrades, including height-adjustable coil-over suspension, engine machining and low-temperature radiator system components (both in preparation for the supercharger), extreme-duty half shafts, a JH strut tower brace, and high-flow intakes for the front grilles.

There's also special 20-inch black wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact Sport tyres, extensions for the front lip and side skirts, branded exterior graphics, body side scoops, a bootlid spoiler, bonnet scoops, and Roush badging everywhere.

Inside, there's a Roush 'interior medallion' stuck on the dashboard, Roush embroidered carpet mats, and Roush-branded illuminated door sill plates.

Optional extras include the full installation of the aforementioned supercharger kit, Roush exhaust system, performance pedals, and Roush components for the seats, shifter, instrument cluster, and boot-mounted tool kit.

Prices for the Roush Jackhammer package start at US$14,965 ($19,816) in the States, with all builds covered by a five-year/60,000 mile (96,560km) powertrain warranty.

While Ford Australia has no plans to offer the Roush Jackhammer upgrade for local Mustang buyers, Mustang Motorsport – Roush's only authorised builder Down Under, has confirmed availability of the 529kW pony.
