Poll: Wagon lovers unite for Volvo V60

But will it come to Australia?

Crossovers like the Volvo XC60 are selling like hotcakes at the moment, but there could still be life in the old-fashioned wagon yet.

Set for a full, in-the-flesh reveal in Geneva this week, the Volvo V60 squeezes all the technology and Scandinavian design goodness from the XC60 into a classic load-lugging shape.

The results – 70 per cent of voters favouring the V60 over the XC60 – aren't particularly surprising, given the reaction to our full reveal story.

At 4781mm long, 1850mm wide and 1427mm tall, the new V60 is 146mm longer, 16mm narrower and 57mm lower than the current car, riding on a wheelbase 96mm longer than before. There's 529L of luggage space down back, provided you include underfloor storage, making it properly practical as well.

Unfortunately, there's no guarantee the car will come to Australia. Volvo says a decision hasn't yet been made on its future. Our fingers are firmly crossed.

THIS WEEK'S POLL

This week, we're putting the Jaguar I-Pace up against the Tesla Model X. They're both fully-electric, with a range north of 450km – depending on spec in the Tesla, of course. Which one would you have?
