The perfect combination of old school and new tech!


The sound of a rotary is hard to miss, so when we heard our staff watching random Facebook videos at the office, we could immediately identify the sweet sound of the mighty Mazda rotor.. What we didn't expect when we turned the screen around, was this incredible piece of art.

Put together by the guys at the UK-based motorsport company "JR Motorworx", this is truly one unique beast. We already loved Mad Mike Whiddett's MadBull RX-7/RX-3 mashup, but we just had to know more about this special example!

Fast forward a week, and we tracked down Jay Murray, (who candidly mentioned that this labour of love came at an eye-watering dent to his bank balance). He is the mad scientist behind this creation.

Thankfully, Jay was able to fill in the gaps about what's in his "madaz" Mazda, and supply a gallery of shots showing concept through to execution and finally the finished product.

A peak inside the car shows this is a cross between race car and a stereo on wheels... More about that in the gallery below.
