2018 Maserati Ghibli facelift spied
The updated Maserati Ghibli has been spotted undergoing winter testing in Sweden.
The prototype seen here features car bra-style cladding over its front and bumpers. From what we can see, the facelift will bring with it new headlights and a subtly updated front fascia design.
At the rear, the revised rear bumper looks as though it will feature a more prominent diffuser-style element between the two sets of dual exhaust tips. We'd also wager that the production car will also have different tail-light graphics, but these weren't fitted to this prototype.
There will likely be some revisions to the Ghibli's drivetrains, which are currently limited to a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 in 257kW/500Nm and 302kW/550Nm trims, and 184kW and 202kW versions of a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6.
On inside, there should be the usual round of trim upgrades and, possibly, an upgraded infotainment system with a larger touchscreen interface.
An unveiling at or just before the Frankfurt motor show in September seems to be a good bet. If that's the case, the facelifted Ghibli won't arrive in Australian showrooms until some time in 2018.
