2015 Volvo XC60, XC70 recalled for fuel gauge fix
Volvo has issued a recall in Australia for 144 of its 2015 model-year XC60 and XC70 crossovers fitted with the five-cylinder turbo-diesel engines over concerns the fuel gauge could be faulty.
The Swedish manufacturer reports that the fuel gauge in affected vehicles could show there is sufficient fuel even when the car has an empty tank.
If the condition occurs, this could cause the vehicle to run out of fuel when in use, posing an accident hazard to vehicle occupants and other road users.
The VIN ranges for the recalled models are as follows:
Owners of the affected Volvo models are encouraged to contact their local dealer to have their vehicle inspected and the Engine Control Module updated free of charge.
