The Icona Vulcano Titanium will make its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which takes place on the weekend of August 16, 2015.
Its makers claim that the one-off Chinese-backed, Italian-designed Vulcano Titanium is a "world first with its unique titanium and carbonfibre body". The new vehicle is a development of the Icona Vulcano concept that had its first appearance at the 2013 Shanghai motor show.
The body for the Vulcano Titanium is said to be naked titanium and it's claimed that it took around 1000 hours to hand-craft.Corvette ZR1
The Titanium can apparently reel off the 0-60mph (0-97km/h) sprint in 2.8 seconds, hit 120mph (193km/h) in 8.8 seconds, and has a top speed of around 350km/h.
The new vehicle's Corvette-derived engine is nowhere near as exotic as the two possible drivetrains that were described for the original 2013 concept car.
In the first, dubbed H-Turismo, a 6.0-litre V12 and an electric motor were teamed together to deliver a maximum of 708kW. Fitted with rear-wheel drive, the H-Turismo-spec car is said to be capable of a 0-100km/h time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 350km/h.
For the other mooted drivetrain, named H-Competizione, a twin-turbo V6 was paired with two electric motors. Although this setup had a mere 649kW, it did have the benefit of all-wheel drive, and was said to be able of a completing the 0-100km/h dash in 3.0 seconds.
