The 2013 Toyota LandCruiser 200 Altitude special edition has been released, gaining a claimed $5000 in extra features.

Priced $1700 above the Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series GXL on which it’s based, the $92,165 LandCruiser 200 Altitude boasts features normally reserved for the more expensive VX and Sahara grades.

Unique five-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels and Altitude badging distinguish the special edition Toyota on the outside.

Inside, the LandCruiser 200 Altitude’s eight-seat cabin gains black leather-accented electric front seats, premium steering wheel and gearshift knob, and a cooler box in the centre console.

The LandCruiser 200 Altitude pairs Toyota’s 195kW/650Nm 4.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 diesel with a six-speed automatic transmission, and claims to use 10.3 litres per 100km on the combined cycle, giving it a theoretical driving range of more than 1300km.

The 2013 Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series Altitude follows similar special editions released in 2011 and 2012, and joins the Kluger Altitude and Prado Altitude in the brand’s current line-up.
