BMW i video

If you haven’t already heard about BMW’s new brand it’s called 'BMW i' and it’s all about the future of mobility; how we will use the car in line with sustainability and all things ‘green’.

BMW is developing a entire range of ‘i’ cars commencing with the i3 and i8 Concepts. These are a combination of series-produced pure electric and plug-in hybrid cars, the i3 Concept being a city or urban use vehicle, while the i8 Concept represents a new generation of sports car.

The current brand statement from BMW is 'BMW i. Born Electric' and is represented in a brand trailer that BMW recently released to provide a glimpse of what the i3 is all about. Hollywood composer, Able Korzeniowski, who did the music for director Tom Ford’s theatrical debut, “A Single Man”, created the music for the i3 trailer.

“The whole BMW I concept really inspired me. It’s not just about a car. It’s a new concept for living – how we use our resources, how we use things,” said Korzeniowski. “You get the impression of a new but familiar technology, not a classic invention, but a very human technology, just like the message ‘Born Electric’.

We're already liking what BMW are doing as far as future automotive concepts go, but tell us what you think.
