Ferrari opens first showroom in India

Ferrari has opened up a showroom in India for the first time, in the city of Delhi. The ultra-rich have expressed a keen interest in exotic supercars in the area lately, and Ferrari wants to be there to provide for the market.

Every major Ferrari model will be available through the dealership, including the Ferrari 458 Italia, Ferrari California, Ferrari 599 Fiorano and the all-new all-wheel drive Ferrari FF shooting brake.

Ferrari is expecting the market to grow over the next few years, following the trends set by China, a market Ferrari entered just seven years ago. India will be Ferrari's 58th market that contains at least one showroom. Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa, said at the opening,

"Our objective was to launch the Indian market in 2011 and it 's a pleasure to inaugurate this first dealership here today. We feel that this is the right moment, considering the dynamism of the country and its economy.

"Naturally the entire range will be available on this market, imported by the Shreyans Group, the partner we've chosen and who shares with us not just the desire to invest, but also the passion for Ferrari and its values."
