Toyota Prius wins Japanese car of the year.

Japan Automobile Manufacturer’s Association (JAMA) awarded Toyota’s third generation Prius Car of the Year.

The final judging took place at the opening of the 41st Tokyo International Motor Show.
The first Prius was also awarded Japanese Car of the Year back in 1997-1998.

Toyota to cut production 10 per cent

Toyota Motor Corporation, the world’s biggest carmaker, will cut its global production capacity by 10 per cent, or 1 million vehicles, according to a report in the Japanese business newspaper Nikkei.
