2013 Opel Astra OPC Review

After only six months on Australian shores, German wunderkind Opel reckons its all-new Opel Astra OPC is primed to take a commanding slice of the nation’s fiercely competitive hot-hatch market. It’s got its work cut out for it – priced at a bullish $42,990 plus on-road costs, the Astra OPC is already dearer than the coveted Renault Megane RS265 ($42,640), as well as much-loved rivals the Volkswagen Golf GTI ($38,990) and Ford Focus ST ($38,290)...

2013 Opel Astra Opc Review

Hot hatches are some of the most fun cars that are usable on a daily basis, and what makes this even better the OPC comes with three peddles. Now you don’t go and buy an Opel because of the badge appeal or because it’s the most practical car you can, you are looking at one because you enjoy driving and don’t mind being a bit alternative, but it is far from a compromise if you are in the market for a performance car...

2013 Opel Astra Opc Review

Bought my Astra OPC in may of 2013. Mine is from the very first boat load of cars. You can tell by the silver grill rather than body colour that the next boatload and Holden branded cars have. Good points first. Goes like a rocket when you want it to and the noise the exhaust makes when reving hard is music to the ears. Should come with a warning on the sun visor...

2012 Opel Astra Review

The Opel Astra GTC is a car I lusted after from the time I saw the first 3D renderings of it in 2010. Circumstances prevented me from buying one new, during Opel's blink-and-you'll-miss-it sojourn in the Australian market, but last year I found a great used buy and could not help myself. It is a truly beautiful thing to behold and after 9 months or so none of that allure has worn off...

2013 Opel Astra Opc Review

Very glad to hear this model coming back to Holden! Mine has been an absolute pleasure, brutal performance when you want it ( which is often!) but quite comfortable, roomy and practical when not testing out the "G" meter! The looks of this thing is pretty hard to beat on the road, certainly none of the other hot hatches can in my opinion anyway...
