Jaguar XE and F-Type models recalled for front seatbelt fix
Jaguar has issued recalls for 550 of its 2017 XE and 89 examples of the 2017/2018 F-Type, over concerns the front seat belt pretensioner may not function properly due to a deviation in the seatbelt initiator generant mix ratio in some initiators.
The operation of the front seat belt pretensioner may fail to operate in the event of a crash and potentially cause injuries to front seat occupants.
The vehicle identification numbers for the affected models are SAJWA6AT4H8K41657 to SAJXJ6DL1HMK46354 for the F-Type and SAJAB4AN7HA960925 to SAJAB4AGHL995575 for the XE.
A notification will be sent to owners and will then need to take the vehicle to a Jaguar dealership where it will be assessed for a seat belt replacement.
