Aston Martin DBS Superleggera teased
Super GT set for reveal in the next three months
Aston Martin has released the first teaser for a reborn DBS 'Super GT', dubbed the DBS Superleggera. At this point, we know it's red and... not much else.
Beyond the fact the full reveal is coming at some point in June 2018, and the car will wear the Superleggera – super light in Italian, for those playing along at home – badge, details about the revitalised DBS are thin on the ground.
We know Aston Martin is in the midst of a product revolution, led by the DB11 and Vantage. Along with the DBX SUV, Rapide E, mid-engine supercar, and ultra-luxurious Lagonda models we've been promised, the brand said it's preparing a replacement for the current Vanquish.
Given its billing as a Super GT, and the fact the previous DBS was a more powerful variant of the front-engined DB9, we'd suggest the DBS Superleggera is aimed at filling a similar role for the DB11.
Then again, it's possible Aston Martin has something else in mind entirely, we'll just have to wait and see.
